Every year I do the Great Cycling Challenge, this year I am cycling 500kms to raise $500 for Children’s Medical Research Institute for their Cancer research.

Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer around the world, each year over 600 in Australia. Sadly, 3 kids in Australia die from cancer every week. I personally have seen my newborn son in NICU and that was for a very minor illness compared to what these children go through. This year I will be cycling my main event to Goulburn and back, this is almost 200kms and those hills are killers. This will be my 3rd year doing the challenge and it never gets easier, reading the stories of some of the families and the toll it takes on them going through the treatment.

I have announced on my social media I will increase that number to 750km if I get my $500 by 4/10/2020. I have had approximately 2-3 months off the bike and not doing any fitness so every km will likely be hurting!!
