My Story

This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to raise funds for the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding cures for childhood cancers.

Every time I do this I am reminded of the old anti-war poster that read "It will be a great day when schools get all the money they need and the Air Force has to hold a bake sale to buy a new bomber". Same goes for medical research: it should be funded properly by government and not be reliant on bake sales, or bicycle challenges. But it is not, and so we cycle.
