For the past few years I’ve taken part in the Great Cycle challenge each October.

After losing my beautiful husband David to brain cancer in July I didn’t think I could do it this year but I can almost hear Dave telling me “go on, get on your bike and clock up the kms to raise money to fight kids cancer”

So I will. This October, I will be riding 50km to fight kids' cancer.

Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week. No family should go through the loss of any family member to cancer.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
