This October marks my 6th year riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer—and I’m once again asking for your support.

I ride for the Children’s Medical Research Institute, whose groundbreaking work is helping to prevent, diagnose, and treat childhood cancers. But more personally, I ride in memory of my beautiful son, Soren.

Soren was a joyful, curious little boy whose smile lit up our lives. In 2019, our world changed forever when he was diagnosed with leukemia at just two years old. Despite his incredible courage and the love surrounding him, we lost him. Soren was our light, and he continues to inspire me every single day.

No child should have to face cancer. No parent should have to endure the heartbreak of losing a child. That’s why I ride—not just for Soren, but for every child and every family affected by this cruel disease.

Over the past six years, this challenge has become more than just a fundraiser. It’s a tribute. A mission. A way to turn grief into hope. Every kilometre I ride is for Soren, and for the thousands of children who are still fighting. I ride for their futures, for their smiles, and for the chance to grow up healthy and strong.

But I can’t do it alone.
