First of all well done to everyone! To have raised over $20,000 is incredible and you have all done a remarkable job. Still not to late to send off those emails and post on your socials. Plenty of resources to download on the GCC page to make every post a winner. Plenty of people want to donate, they just need reminding.
PS Get your partners to share your socials, spread a broad net :)
Our chances of hitting our goal of 10,000km aren't looking good so keep turning those peddles and see if we can still make it!
Today is the day to get those donations in so don't hold back Northern Beaches Old Spokes send out those emails, make those posts on social media, annoy your neighbors, etc, etc. What's the worst that could happen? Someone could say no!
You are all doing so well so keep up the good work. Went for a ride today to stay in front of my target and saw so many riders out. Big shout out to Sam who has been getting some big donations and doing plenty of km's - keep up the good work.
Well October is nearly here which means we are all about to start our challenge of raising money for kids cancer research and hitting the road to reach our cycling goal for the month.
Don't forget to encourage your sponsors to donate on "kick cancers butt day" which is when the corporate sponsor will match any donations made on that day.
Good luck for the month, I hope your sponsors are generous and the magpies are kind!
Keep an eye out for updates!
This October, Northern Beaches Old Spokes is taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
And so we are riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support our challenge by making a donation through our fundraising page to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Together, we can save little lives.
Thanks for your support.
Andrew
