It's been quite a month! Thanks to everyone for their encouragement and support as we took to the roads again for our 7th challenge. We hope our efforts contribute to making a difference to families who are are currently feeling the impact of childhood cancer, as well as those who have lost loved ones.
We have experienced cooler, windy conditions during October, not to mention magpies, 3 bee stings and a bit of a tumble but are we up for our 8th challenge next year? Absolutely, we look forward to October 2025. For now we are going to rest up for a couple of days. Thanks everyone.
It looks like Gaz will reach at least 1000km on his own! He completed a challenging ride this morning on the Linear Trail along the Eastern Freeway. Challenging mainly due to all the construction works diversions.
The mornings have been chilly and the windy conditions have been challenging but it's nothing compared to what children and their families go through when confronted with a cancer diagnosis and treatment. We are proud to be involved again in the GCC that will contribute to further research and treatment options.
This October, Locky Legends is taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
And so we are riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support our challenge by making a donation through our fundraising page to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Together, we can save little lives.
Thanks for your support.
