I’m Back — Riding 1000KM in the 2026 Great Cycle Challenge!

This time iam riding from Salzburg to Grado then Trieste to Palu in Croatia, I will be following my Dad, Herb, he is on 83 years young!

This October, I’m once again taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer.

Why? Because cancer is still the biggest killer of children by disease in Australia. Every year, over 700 kids are diagnosed, and tragically, 3 young lives are lost each week.

Last few years, your support helped me make a real impact — and this year, I’m back to do it again.

💪 My 2026 Goal:

🚴 Ride 1000 kilometres

💰 Raise $2,500 for childhood cancer research

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

I’m riding and raising funds to support the Children’s Medical Research Institute and their vital work in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

We meet Claudia and Stefan at 4.4km, during our breakdown, a Kangaroo was given to Claudia to take care off.

We waited for our new bike, then we took a bus ride

To Piran to catch up with time.

And then what do you know Claudia and Stefan arrived and we had lunch together.

Lovely to meet you both.

Well we headed across the Adriatic Sea and left Muggia on our second leg.

55 km today. Oops that was the plan until a dead bike. We did 24km.

With the strenuous mountains that we climbed in 4.4 km up a SLIGHT hill, dad’s bike died! Its pedal’s fell off and its heart fell apart.

It seems a battery connection. But our trusty guide Srecko is bringing a replacement.
