Sweet Ruby was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma, due to where the tumours were, surgery was not an option. Ruby underwent 6 rounds of chemotherapy, 2 radiation treatments and oral chemo with the hope of a full recovery. In October, Ruby and Alicia celebrated a combined birthday and were looking forward to many more but in the same week, complications meant that Ruby was back in hospital and the cancer had aggressively grown back since her last treatment and only had slight odds of seeing christmas.
With this realisation, Ruby, her sister; Page and mother; Alicia, indulged in the joys of life, loving and cherishing every moment together. Ruby's last weeks were spent comfortably at home with Alicia and Page by her side.
