There are some amazing people in the world. Some so good that the people who have sponsored me have surpassed my goal of $500. So I need to aim higher. I have changed my goal to raise $1000. To expect more sponsorship I believe I need to raise my riding commitment. So my new goal is to ride a further 50km on top of the earlier goal of 250km.
Trust there are still a few people who haven’t already donated to this excellent cause.
What a privilege we have to be able to ride in beautiful places. The last few days have seen many less Bogong moths threatening eyes, mouths etc and progressively more baby ducks and plovers with some very attentive parents. Does make you think again about the lives our young cancer sufferers are living. Keep up the riding everyone to help the cause.
So the moths are still alive and well but numbers are easing. SO now comes the rain. But temperature is down and rain is light. Rides enjoyable and 50 km of my 250 completed.
Day one of the Great Cycle Challenge is usually my day to locate local problem magpies and plan future rides. BUT this year magpies didn’t feature. They were outdone by the Bogong moths passing through this area resting in trees and bushes waiting to surround cyclists as they ride by. Hopefully this is the last day that the moths are as numerous.
Day one and 14km done.
