Well, it has been a great month as both of my aims were achieved. It's great to know I have so much support. Hope I can saddle up and do it again 🙏 next year.
Wow, what a whirlwind ride to the end of this year's Great Cycle Challenge. Above all expectations, getting a $500 donation towards kids' cancer research. I continue to be awe struck by the support I've received, not only this year but over the 6 years I have been on my quest. Thanks again, and I hope I am able to saddle up again next year.
Big 70kms this morning to smash the 1000km, which I set out to do this month. The seventy kms were just over three hours (187 min) on both gravel and bitumen roads. Very proud to have again been part of the Great Cycle Challenge. A BIG shout out to ALL my supporters and especially to Marg..
A little 31kms today to test out the new tyres. All went well - just 68kms to make 1000km. Planning something special for tomorrow.
After yesterday afternoon ride, I have only 99kms to go. Also, with the excellent support of the double up day for donations I have received over my aim to raise $2500. However, I will keep fundraising and riding until the end of the month to see what we can achieve.
Also, new tyres fitted in preparation for
next month's 500kms RSL Rememberance Ride starting at Cowra.
With the afternoon ride yesterday, it leaves me 133kms to go.
Special day today as it's
"ALL DONATION ARE MATCHED".
Oooo rear tyre flat this morning.
Only a few days to go. It was time out yesterday for another Plasma donation. In the home stretch now.
Starting the week with a good ride out early around the bypass. Little wind, however, is all good. Could it be a big week?
Good morning, out and about. Coopernook and back via the bypass. Thought it would be a 50km ride. However 🤔 when I checked the stat's and it was 49.1kms. But every kilometre counts. Not far now.
Good effort this morning out to Coopernook and back. With the afternoon ride the days total = 68kms and some 244kms to go now.
