A month to remember! (October 2025 - GCC daily rides!)

There were many solo rides around home, lots of magpie swoops, some windy days, lots of elevations (7049m to be exact!), a variety of upbeat music and singing along, Lycra and padded shorts because they really help your butt stay comfortable in the saddle (47hrs 15mins all up endured!😳🚴🏼‍♀️🙌🏼), photos to capture the memories, 3 new GCC jerseys sent my way which I loved/appreciated!….but this high of riding for The Great Cycle Challenge and remembering ’WHY’ I sign up each year is what drives me to raise awareness, fundraise and show some support. Kids are precious. Kids deserve the best. We can all help a little. There are lots of charities/communities but my chosen one is The Great Cycle Challenge because I love what they do and keep these special kids and their wonderful families supported. All the stories and journeys of cancer treatments are heart wrenching….these chapters deserve help/support! Seeing the kids smiles/signs and posts remind us that life can change at any time. Thankyou for being part of this fabulous GCC family/community.🙏🏼🧡

THANKYOU for supporting my riding throughout October for the Great Cycle Challenge community!

As a whole community we have clocked up 1,031,408km and raised $2,847,256 (so far) to give kids with cancer the brighter futures they deserve! Every donation helps and is much appreciated.

I’m proud to have pedalled 1111kms for my 11th year legacy of signing up to ride! It’s the biggest ever month of cycling that I have achieved and it’s all those little brave kids faces that keep me showing up! I also really wanted to log a ride every single day throughout October which I did!

Your support has kept me going and your kindness in contributing to the GCC is truly heartfelt.

Cancer is cruel and does not discriminate….but these beautiful kids deserve to be living their best days and the GCC team do a fantastic job….thanks for being part of such a worthy cause.x💫🙏🏼🧡🚴🏼‍♀️👊🏻👏🏻🥰

1000kms pedalling as at Day 27!

I have officially pedalled just over 1000 kms today with 4 more days to go!

I have now increased my target kms to be 1000kms!!! And I have increased my fundraising target to $2000….theres still 13 more days to go!!! We are off to a good start….so let’s try to bring it home strong for the kids fighting their worst days….because cancer really sucks!

As at Day 18….

It’s been 18 consecutive days of riding so far and 720 km ticked off! All for a worthy cause… The great cycle challenge. Make a big difference with all the fundraising and medical research to help all the kids that are living their worst days with cancer! Thank you for your continued support as I continue to ride through the month of October.

Day 11 - 60kms ✔️ M7 cycle paths today!

Sunny goodness and some fellow GCC jerseys out riding the M7 today….its such a great challenge to partake in. Thankful for all the support so far!🚴🏼‍♀️🧡💫👊🏻

As at Day 10!

412kms ticked off so far with my longest ride of the challenge being on Day 10 (70kms!👊🏻🚴🏼‍♀️🧡🙏🏼).. Some waves from lovely neighbours, some magpie swoops and lots of motivation for such a worthy cause! 💫☀️ Friday was rewarding!!!

Proud to have committed to clipping in to my pedals and riding every day for all the beautiful kids fighting their toughest days!
