My Story
This October marks my ninth year riding in the Great Cycle Challenge in support of the Children’s Medical Research Institute—and once again, I’m asking for your support.
I believe deeply in the power of medical research to change lives. Every breakthrough begins with people willing to ask difficult questions, pursue better answers, and believe that diseases once considered incurable can one day be overcome.
That belief is why I support the CMRI.
Every email and message I send, every kilometer I ride, is for children facing cancer and other devastating illnesses—and for the families who endure that journey beside them. It is also for the researchers working to give those children something extraordinarily precious: the chance at a long, healthy life.
For me, fundraising is an act of agency. It is a way of refusing to simply accept that childhood cancer is something that happens and there is little we can do about it. There is something we can do. We can support the research that turns hope into treatments, treatments into cures, and cures into futures.
After nine years, that remains my reason for riding.
If you would like to help, please consider donating or sharing my page. No contribution is too small—every act of support helps move the research forward.
Because kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
With sincere gratitude,
Tony
