I'm Riding For

My wife who died from cancer 10 years ago.

This year, I’m riding in memory of my wife, who I lost to cancer ten years ago. Ten years may have passed, but the people we love remain very much a part of who we are and the lives we continue to lead. She will certainly be in my thoughts as I make my way through the kilometres this October. My experience of cancer is one shared by far too many families. I know the impact it has not only on the person facing the disease, but also on everyone who loves them. That experience makes it especially meaningful for me to support the fight against childhood cancer. No child or family should have to face what a cancer diagnosis brings, and every advance in research offers hope for better treatments, better outcomes and, ultimately, a cure. That is why I’m riding again in the Great Cycle Challenge — in her memory, and in the hope that the money we raise can help give children facing cancer the opportunity for the long and healthy lives they deserve. Every kilometre in October has a little extra meaning. This ride is for her. ❤️
