My Story

This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Because cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia. Right now, 90 children are diagnosed every month, and sadly, 3 die every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

When the timer reached 90 minutes, it reset itself to zero, but the kilometres continued to add up. The attached photo shows what happened.

Hi there,

I’ve been keeping up with my riding, covering about 8 kilometres each time. To reach my goal, I’ll need to ride more often. I’m out of practice, though, so at the moment I ride one day and need to rest the next. Ha ha! Perhaps age has something to do with it, but I refuse to admit that—I’m blaming the lack of practice! :-)
