Too many people are living, and dying from cancer. This year, I think of many of our dear friends who are experiencing the unpredictable cancer journey and the biggest of life challenges. So that each and every time I have a numb butt or sore arms or legs, or the weather is unpleasant and think it may be easier to give up I will dig in and press on. They are. They have no choice. Because we ALL cannot afford to give up this battle, or not believe that a breakthrough is entirely possible so I am going to ride my hardest.

My Story

This October, for the ninth year, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

I've had some recent medical issues but nothing that is going to prevent me participating in this year's challenge. We've lost kids since we rode last year, and right now cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it. Please get on board. Join our team. Donate or give us a thumbs up when you see us out and about and pedalling for this too important cause.

And so I am riding, to inspire my friends and family and to raise funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute continuing work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer. Any break through is a break through for all.
